IoTinix Platform Features
IoTinix is built for engineers and operators managing distributed IoT estates. Every feature is designed to reduce risk, simplify access management and scale without adding operational complexity. Below is a full breakdown of what the platform includes at each tier.
VPN-First Architecture
IoTinix is built on an outbound-only VPN model. Devices initiate encrypted tunnels to the control platform. No inbound ports are opened at any site. No publicly reachable endpoints exist. The attack surface is zero by default. This is a fundamental architectural choice – not an optional security setting.
OpenVPN and WireGuard Support
Full support for both major VPN protocols. WireGuard is recommended for Teltonika routers running RutOS 7 or later – it is faster, lighter on CPU and simpler to configure. OpenVPN provides maximum compatibility with older firmware versions and a wider range of router brands. Configuration files for both protocols are auto-generated per device directly from the IoTinix portal. No manual VPN configuration is required.
SIM-Agnostic Connectivity
IoTinix works with any SIM card from any provider. Private IP SIMs, dynamic IP SIMs, roaming SIMs, multi-network SIMs and eSIM deployments are all supported without modification. There is no requirement for a fixed public IP SIM card. This eliminates both the monthly cost premium and the continuous security exposure associated with public IP addressing on IoT devices.
Multi-User and Role-Based Access Control
Each IoTinix account supports multiple users. Engineers, technicians and client users can be assigned different permission levels per device or per device group. Role definitions control whether a user can view, access or administer each device. No user has visibility of devices outside their assigned scope. Access can be revoked instantly when a team member leaves or a client relationship ends.
Full Session Logging and Audit Trail
Every access event is recorded automatically. The log captures user identity, device accessed, session start time, end time and total duration. Logs are immutable and exportable as CSV. A full audit trail is available for compliance review, security investigation and client reporting. All session history is retained and searchable within the portal.
Health Monitoring and Alerts
Real-time tunnel health monitoring for every connected device. Configurable alerts for device disconnections, reconnections and unusual activity patterns. Notifications are delivered by email or webhook integration. A single dashboard provides instant visibility of connectivity status across the entire estate without logging into individual devices.
Two-Factor Authentication
Two-factor authentication is enforced across all IoTinix user accounts. Every login requires both a password and a one-time code generated by an authenticator app. This prevents unauthorised access even in the event of credential compromise. 2FA cannot be disabled by individual users and is applied uniformly across the platform.
